Placement is everything. Natsu strips are designed to follow the muscle - the same principle behind kinesiology tape used in sports medicine. Apply with intention, and the results will follow.
The Science of Overnight Skin Smoothing
Spoiler: it works.
Real women, 3 weeks of consistent use. Here's what they told us.
◦ faq
Good question. Here's the answer.
How often should I use it?
Beginners should start with 2 sessions per week and build from there. The sweet spot for most people is 3-4 times per week - enough to stimulate retraining while giving your skin/tissues adequate rest between sessions.
Some applications like the forehead can be done daily once you know how your skin responds. The eye area should always be cycled and never done daily.
How long until I see results?
Most people notice a difference within the first 1–2 weeks, with best results seen after 2–3 weeks of consistent use - though this can vary depending on the depth of your lines.
Wrinkles weren't made overnight, and they won't disappear overnight either. But consistency is everything. Show up for your skin regularly and it will show up for you.
This isn't magic. It's your new ritual.
Is face tape safe for facial use?
Natsu Face Tape is made with breathable cotton-spandex fabric and a medical-grade adhesive. The materials underwent multiple skin compatibility and safety evaluations performed according to internationally recognized ISO testing standards, including HRIPT testing, and are dermatologist tested.
We use a medical-grade adhesive from the world’s leading adhesive manufacturer and a global leader in medical wearable adhesive technologies. Our tapes are also latex-free and free from added fragrance, which may be irritating to sensitive skin.
How do I remove it?
Slow and gentle is the move here. When removing, keep the tape close to the skin rather than pulling away from it, and peel in the direction of hair growth - this minimizes any tugging on the skin.
We always recommend using a facial oil to remove. Oil breaks down the adhesive gently, protecting your skin barrier as it lifts. This is especially important if you have dry or sensitive skin. Any facial oil will do - but we made our own plant-based one if you want to keep it simple. Shop our Renewing Facial Oil here.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
We’ve done everything we can to make the answer yes - but skin is personal, and there is always a chance of sensitivity. That’s why we always recommend patch testing on the neck or chest before your first use.

A few things especially important for sensitive skin:
- Our tapes are latex-free, fragrance-free, and made without masking perfumes
- The adhesive is infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Centella Asiatica to support skin comfort
- Do not use if you are allergic to acrylates
One more thing: removal matters just as much as application. If you have dry or sensitive skin, always use a facial oil when removing the tape. Oil helps gently break down the adhesive to minimize tugging and protect the skin barrier during removal.
Can I wear skincare under it?
Yes - and we recommend it! Go ahead and do your full nighttime routine before taping. Just keep two things in mind:
- No oils - oils break down the adhesive, which is exactly why we recommend them for removal. Save those for the morning.
- No actives - the tape creates occlusion, which means skincare penetrates deeper into the skin than usual rather than partially evaporating during sleep. With actives like retinol, AHAs, or BHAs, that deeper penetration can cause irritation. Skip actives on nights you tape and use them on the nights in between.
One more thing: make sure your skincare is fully absorbed before applying the tape - typically 5–10 minutes depending on your products and skin type. Tape won't adhere properly to skin that's still damp
Why do the tapes have a slight smell when first opened?
Because our face tape uses a medical-grade adhesive and is sealed immediately after manufacturing, some customers who are especially sensitive to scents may notice a mild smell when first opening a fresh package due to naturally occurring odor from the adhesive materials. Most customers do not notice any scent at all.
The scent is temporary, does not affect product performance, and typically fades quickly after opening. We also do not add synthetic fragrance or masking perfumes, as these may be irritating to sensitive skin and do not align with our clean beauty principles.

I get Botox, can I still use face tape?
Absolutely - but timing matters.
For the first two weeks after any Botox treatment, avoid taping directly over injected areas. Botox takes up to two weeks to fully settle and bind. We recommend waiting until that process is complete before taping those areas. We suggest at least 2 weeks, or 4 weeks if you want to be extra safe.
After that, you can tape - but it's worth understanding what it will and won't do while Botox is still active. Botox works by paralyzing the muscle, which means there's no neuromuscular feedback for the tape to influence. The tension-reducing and muscle retraining benefits of kinesiology tape rely on that feedback loop - so taping over paralyzed muscles isn't going to give you those results.
That said, if you're a side sleeper, tape is still absolutely worth using even with active Botox. Botox can't protect your skin from pillow pressure and sleep creasing - but tape can. That's something no injection can do.
Once your Botox starts to wear off (usually around the 2-3 month mark), that's when face tape becomes your best friend. Use it consistently during that window to help extend the time between appointments, and retrain your muscles in the process.
We don't judge either way. You do what works for you.
